Citizen Science Program
Since 2018, the Friends of Gatineau Park have been collaborating with the National Capital Commission to offer opportunities for the public to contribute to the conservation of Gatineau Park through a Citizen Science Program.
Through this program, you can volunteer in ecological monitoring and ecological restoration activities including:
The data collected through surveys and inventories helps inform the management of Gatineau Park through a better understanding of the health of its ecosystems and the issues affecting its biodiversity.
Ecological restoration activities focus on the removal of invasive plant species to allow native plants to return to affected areas.
