Snowshoes under the stars

  • Join us every Friday evening from January 17 at 7pm for a snowshoe hike at dusk. Our interpreter will help you discover the secrets of how the Park's flora and fauna adapt to winter.
  • We have selected 2 trails, in different sectors of the Park:  Chelsea and Wakefield.
  • Reservations include: Hike, snowshoe rental, trail pass and a special hot chocolate with .

Astronomy night

Come and observe the stars and planets with us.
In this beginner's activity you'll learn :

  • How to choose your equipment.​
  • How to set up your equipment.
  • The essential tools of the amateur astronomer.
  • Your first observations (list changes according to season and activity).

Amphibians in the Park​

Come and discover all the secrets of these mysterious creatures.
We'll teach you how to tell frogs apart by their song.
We'll visit a pond at nightfall to look for frogs, toads and salamanders.
You'll learn why these animals play such an important role in the Park.

Nature quiz on trial 79

Come and take part in the nature quiz on trail 79.
This three-hour activity will require you to use your smartphone and the coordinates given to you to try and answer all the questions in this nature quiz.

Creatures of the night​

Do butterflies, bats and other creatures of the night fascinate you?
Embark on this magical night, during which we'll talk about all these animals and try our hand at observing them using UV lights and ultrasound.
A whole life awakens as soon as the sun goes down.

Interpretive hikes 

Discover the beauty and history of Gatineau Park's trails on foot after dark. Register early and benefit from a discount when you book several activities.
