Conference with Dr. Vincent Deslandes
Dr. Vincent Deslandes holds a PhD in Microbiology from the Université de Montréal, a medical degree from McGill University, and completed a residency in Medical Microbiology at the University of Ottawa. He is a medical microbiologist at The Ottawa Hospital, where he is responsible for the Mycology Section. A member of SBO-OVSAR since October 2023, he also has the honour of serving as the First Aid Coordinator.

However, we must get used to their presence in the environment and learn to manage the risks associated with them. This presentation aims at raising awareness about the diseases they can carry and the measures you can take to protect yourself.
The presentation will also address other diseases transmitted in natural environments, providing a broader overview of health issues related to outdoor activities and our environment.
