Join us for this instructive talk by an expert from the Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue organization. He will share with you how to plan your hike, what to bring, how to be safe in the forest and what to do if, in spite of everything, you do get lost. 
 
We will see samples of equipment, have an overview on map reading, get practical advice and have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
​The program will be held indoors at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre in Old Chelsea and is suitable for teenagers and adults.
